noon vs Amazon.ae: Membership, Delivery and Returns

Amazon.ae Prime costs AED 16 a month or AED 140 a year, and non-members get free delivery on AED 100 or more of items fulfilled by Amazon. noon One costs AED 15 a month at a limited-time price and also covers noon Food, noon Minutes and grocery delivery. Amazon publishes fixed return windows of 15 or 30 days; noon shows the window on each product page. noon applies only one discount per order, so a bank offer and a promo code cannot be combined there.

Prime vs noon One

Amazon Prime (UAE): AED 16 a month or AED 140 a year. New members are currently offered 3 months at AED 8 a month, after which Prime renews at AED 16 (Amazon.ae Prime). Amazon lists these benefits:

  • Free same-day and next-day delivery on Prime-eligible items.
  • Free international shipping from the US, UK and Germany.
  • Free 15-minute delivery on Amazon Now for Prime members.
  • Prime Video and exclusive deals, including early access to shopping events.
  • A Deliveroo Plus membership, which Amazon values at AED 228 a year, and 10% off Amazon Home Services.

Paid members who have not used their benefits can get up to a full refund of the current period.

noon One (UAE): AED 15 a month, described as a limited-time price, with a 14-day free trial once per mobile number (noon help). It covers several noon services:

  • noon Express: free next-day delivery on all noon One orders, and free same-day delivery on eligible orders over AED 100. Below AED 100, same-day costs AED 5.
  • noon Food: free delivery on restaurant orders above AED 30.
  • noon Minutes: free delivery above AED 25.
  • noon Grocery: free delivery above AED 100.
  • now now: free delivery above AED 50.

Bulky-item and other fees can still apply. noon says it cannot refund the membership if your area has limited service, so check coverage before you subscribe.

Free delivery without a membership

  • Amazon.ae: orders with AED 100 or more of eligible items fulfilled by Amazon ship free, usually within 1 to 2 business days once everything is ready to ship. Items sold and fulfilled by sellers do not count toward the AED 100. Below the threshold, Standard Delivery starts at AED 10 (Amazon.ae help).
  • noon: delivery fees depend on your city, the delivery option and the time you order, and are shown at checkout (noon help). We did not find a published free-delivery minimum for non-members on noon's help pages.

Return windows and refunds

Amazon.ae publishes return windows by category (Amazon.ae returns policy):

  • 15 days: most items, including electronics, beauty and home.
  • 30 days: baby items; clothing, shoes and accessories; jewellery, luggage, handbags and watches.
  • Not returnable: grocery and pet food, digital games and software, and consumables.

Items must come back in the condition received. A refund takes 3 to 5 business days to reach a card, or about 4 business hours if you choose Amazon Balance.

noon shows the return window on each product page. Items must be unused, undamaged and in their original packaging (noon help). Refunds go back to the card used. Cash-on-delivery orders are refunded as noon credits, which can be moved to a bank account. noon may issue a partial refund when only some items come back or when shipping fees apply (noon refunds).

Cash on delivery, Tabby, Tamara and instalments

  • Cash on delivery: Amazon.ae charges a non-refundable AED 10 COD fee. COD is not offered if your open orders total more than AED 1,000, or for Global Store and some seller items (Amazon.ae COD). noon adds an AED 12 carrier charge for COD and caps COD orders at AED 6,500 (noon COD).
  • Tabby on Amazon.ae: 4 interest-free payments with no processing fee. Longer plans carry fees: 6 payments (5%), 8 payments (9%) or 12 payments (17%). Orders must be between AED 100 and AED 15,000, and gift cards are excluded. Tabby charges a collection fee from the day after a missed payment (Amazon.ae Tabby page).
  • Tamara on Amazon.ae: 4 payments at 0% interest, with a 1% + VAT processing fee that may not apply to Tamara Smart members. Orders must be between AED 100 and AED 15,000 (Amazon.ae Tamara page).
  • Bank instalments: Amazon.ae lists cards from banks including ADCB, FAB, Emirates NBD, Mashreq, Dubai Islamic Bank and HSBC. Minimums are AED 250 or AED 500 depending on the bank, and processing fees vary by bank (Amazon.ae instalments). noon's Easy Instalments run at 0% interest on orders above AED 500, though your bank may charge a processing fee. noon says they can be combined with discount codes (noon help).
  • Buy now, pay later on noon: noon's payment-methods page lists cards, COD, Apple Pay in some countries and noon credits (noon help). Tabby's and Tamara's store directories both list noon (Tabby, Tamara), but we did not find noon's own BNPL plan terms.

Co-branded cards and cashback

  • Amazon Emirates Islamic Mastercard: no joining or annual fee. On Amazon.ae, Prime members earn up to 6% back in Amazon Reward Points and non-Prime members up to 3%. One point is worth AED 1. Applicants need a minimum monthly income of AED 5,000 (Amazon.ae card page).
  • Emirates NBD noon One Visa: lifetime free. It pays 5% cashback on noon, Namshi and other noon services, 20% on noon Food and up to 1% elsewhere. It also includes a free first year of noon One and an AED 500 welcome bonus, subject to terms (noon help).
  • Mashreq noon Credit Card: lifetime free, with 5% cashback as noon credits on noon services and an AED 500 welcome bonus. Cardholders get lifetime free delivery on noon marketplace orders, but need a separate noon One subscription for the other benefits (noon help, noon One).

How promo codes and bank offers work on each

noon's rules are spelled out in its help centre:

  • Coupon codes go in the field on the Cart page (noon help).
  • Only one discount applies per order. A promo code, a coupon and noon credits each block a bank discount (bank partnerships).
  • Bank discounts apply automatically when you pay with the eligible physical card. They do not work through Apple Pay or other wallets.
  • Coupon cashback arrives as noon credits a few days after delivery. These credits cannot be moved to a bank account and they expire (coupon cashback).

On Amazon.ae, Lightning Deals are limited to one per customer while stock and time last (Amazon.ae help). Amazon's "Was Price" is the 90-day median price paid on Amazon, excluding limited-time deals (strike-through pricing).

Questions people ask

Which is cheaper as a membership, Prime or noon One?

On list price, noon One at AED 15 a month (a limited-time price) is slightly below Prime at AED 16 a month. Prime’s annual plan, AED 140, works out to under AED 12 a month. The better choice depends on whether you use Prime Video and Deliveroo, or noon Food and noon Minutes.

Can I get free delivery on Amazon.ae without Prime?

Yes. Orders with AED 100 or more of eligible items fulfilled by Amazon ship free. Seller-fulfilled items do not count toward that minimum.

Can I use a noon promo code with a bank card offer?

No. noon applies only one discount per order. A promo code, coupon or noon credits on the order means the bank discount will not apply.
