White Friday and Yellow Friday: Gulf November Sales Guide

White Friday is Amazon’s name in the Middle East for the Black Friday season. Amazon says it usually falls around the last Friday in November, with early access for Prime members. noon’s November event is called Yellow Friday. Before the sales, set up any membership trial, check each item’s 90-day “Was Price” on Amazon, and note which bank offers apply, because many cannot be combined with promo codes.

What the November sales are

  • Amazon White Friday: Amazon.ae calls White Friday its biggest sale of the year, with discounts of up to 70%. It is the Middle East name for Black Friday and "usually around the last Friday in November", with early access to deals for Prime members. Prime members can also order Black Friday deals from the Global Store with free delivery and no minimum spend (Amazon.ae White Friday). Amazon.sa runs a White Friday 2026 page for Saudi Arabia (Amazon.sa).
  • noon Yellow Friday: noon's November sale. Banks run tie-ins: Mashreq's 2022 terms, for example, covered a noon Yellow Friday Sale from 25 to 28 November 2022 (Mashreq). noon's own site blocked our checks, so we cannot confirm 2026 dates.
  • Other stores: many Gulf retailers run Black Friday or White Friday events at the same time. Check each store's own site for dates.

How to prepare

  1. Time your membership. Amazon Prime's early access needs Prime. New members are currently offered 3 months at AED 8 or SAR 8 a month (Amazon.ae Prime). noon One's free trial lasts 14 days in the UAE and 7 days in Saudi Arabia, once per mobile number, so start it close to the sale (UAE, KSA).
  2. Save items in advance and note today's prices so you can compare during the sale.
  3. Check your payment options. Amazon's Tabby and Tamara plans need orders of at least AED 100 or SAR 100 (Tabby, Tamara). COD on Amazon.ae is not offered above AED 1,000 of open orders (Amazon.ae COD).
  4. Look up bank offers on your bank's own site and check whether they exclude wallets, BNPL or promo codes.
  5. Know the Lightning Deal rules. These are limited in quantity and time, one per customer, with a waitlist once all are claimed (Amazon.ae).

Reading Was prices and price history

Amazon.ae explains its strike-through prices (Amazon.ae help):

  • Was Price: the 90-day median price customers paid on Amazon, excluding prices paid during limited-time deals.
  • List Price: shown only if customers bought the item on Amazon, or other retailers offered it, at or above that price in the past 90 days (books excepted).
  • "Lowest Price in 30 Days": the current price is lower than or equal to the lowest featured offer price on Amazon in the past 30 days.

You can report a wrong strike-through price from the product page. noon's help pages do not explain how its "was" prices are set, so compare against prices you saved before the sale.

Bank offers during the sales

Banks often add instant discounts during these events. Mashreq's 2022 noon Yellow Friday terms show the usual shape (Mashreq):

  • 25% off up to AED 100 on one order of AED 100 or more for the Mashreq noon card, applied at checkout with no code.
  • Not valid on noon credits, Apple Pay or other wallets.
  • Not valid with Tabby or Tamara, or with other offers.

noon's current rules are similar: one discount per order, and bank discounts only on the physical card (noon).

Return windows for sale purchases

  • Amazon.ae and Amazon.sa: 15 days for most items and 30 days for fashion, baby, jewellery, luggage, handbags and watches. Global Store items have 15 to 30 days and cannot be replaced or exchanged, only returned for a refund (Amazon.ae, Amazon.sa).
  • noon: the window is on each product page, and items must be unused and in original packaging. noon may give a partial refund when only some items are returned (noon, refunds).
  • Coupon cashback: noon pays it as credits a few days after delivery, and they can be cancelled for abuse (noon).
  • BNPL refunds: Tabby reduces your upcoming payments by the refund amount (Tabby).

We did not find an extended holiday return window for the UAE or Saudi Arabia on either store's help pages.

When is Amazon White Friday?

Amazon says it is usually around the last Friday in November, with early access for Prime members. Exact dates are announced on Amazon.ae and Amazon.sa closer to the time.

Is a White Friday "Was" price reliable on Amazon?

Amazon defines its Was Price as the 90-day median price paid by customers, excluding limited-time deals. That makes it a reasonable baseline, but comparing with prices you saved yourself is still the safest check.

Can I use a promo code and a bank offer during Yellow Friday?

Not on noon. Its help centre says only one discount applies per order, and past Yellow Friday bank offers excluded other promotions.

Do sale items have a shorter return window?

The Amazon and noon pages we read do not set a separate window for sale items. Amazon’s category windows of 15 or 30 days apply, and noon shows the window on each product page.
